* Ten Steps to the Head of the Class: A Handbook for Middle School Students by Dr. Samuel Betances

This student handbook is designed so that student participants can each document their own personal growth journey as they climb to the head of the class. Self-assessment exercises and age-appropriate activities are included for each of the ten steps.

* A Curriculum Guide by Dr. Laura M. Torres Souder and Dr. Carmen Sanchez

The Guide is designed to be used when implementing the Winning Formula process with the Ten Steps Handbook as the student text. It includes 10 units of study that can be modified or customized to meet various program timeframes and objectives.

* Recommended Reading Lists of Resiliency Memoirs for Middle School students

* Recommended Grade-level Must Know Word Lists aligned with the Common Core Standards

Tools for High School level implementation include:

* Winning the Future through Education One Step at a Time by Dr. Samuel Betances

This book is a navigational tool for high school and first-generation college bound students to transform their ineffective habits into successful practices, exercise control of their time and decisions, further develop their authentic literacy skills and confront the high-tech and other distractions which derail their academic achievement. It provides a roadmap for success and inspires students to stay in school and graduate from high school and college.

* A Teacher's Guide by Dr. Samuel Betances and Dr. Laura M. Torres Souder

The Guide, which provides strategies for boosting authentic literacy development through classroom activities, reading and homework assignments and class projects, is designed to be used with the book, Winning the Future, as the student text.
